Church Music

The Freiberg Cathedral is one of the most important places of church music in Germany. Since 70 years every Thursday between Mai and October are organ performances during the series Freiberger Abendmusiken (Freiberg evening music). Ten thousands of guests will listen to about 25 organ concerts, a lot of Oratorio performances and about 400 performances during the cathedral guiding tours every year.

The Freiberger Dommusik is supported by Evang.-Luth. Landeskirche Sachsen, City of Freiberg and Cultur Region Erzgebirge-Mittelsachsen.
